Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting recently, but we have been busy.
Our friends went out of town this week so we have been milking their cows for them. We've got a deal that we get an inexpensive raw milk share, in return for milking the cow when they are gone. So we have been getting up at 5:15 in the morning to go to their house to milk, then going again around 5 in the afternoon, since Saturday evening. We are tired, but we are glad to help our friends, especially since we get cheap raw milk!
Cody and I played at a church the other night. We just did three songs, but we had a good time.
Besides milking cows, our family has been busy taking my siblings to sports. Samuel is playing soccer in Richmond on a homeschool league, Timothy is playing on a team in Dillwyn and my dad is coaching it, and Abram is playing baseball in Fluvanna. Thankfully Samuel and Abram have been able to ride with friends, but it is still a logistical nightmare, especially this week with the cows.
I have been having a lot of fun with my banjo (when I've had the chance). I recorded another song for you all. It is a song from back in the early bluegrass days called "Down the Road". As you know I am just a beginner on the banjo, so don't expect to hear Earl Scruggs sounding banjo, and I certainly don't have Lester Flatt's voice, but I hope y'all find it halfway enjoyable.
Well I don't have much more to say this time. Hopefully I will have more soon.
